National Adoption Week, 2006/7

Could you adopt Ruben?

Adoption child or children

We are looking for a new family for Ruben. Could you be his new family? Why not find out more?

Last year the British Agencies for Adoption and Fostering and its members were encouraging people to express an interest in adoption. The week encouraged people from all walks of life to find out about adopting a child.

National Adoption Week runs from November 5th to 11th, 2007

Throughout the UK many local councils and other adoption agencies hold events during the week giving people the opportunity to find out more about adoption. Going along to one of these is one of the very best ways to find out more. Usually you can pick up a few leaflets, have a chat with staff and people who have adopted, and more often than not you will be offered a cup of tea too!

Been thinking about adopting occasionally?

So often people think about adopting for quite a while before they start to gather information about it. Why not take advantage of this week? National Adoption Week is being held between November 6th to the 12th, 2006. If you dont know where an event is being held locally why not give your local councils social services a ring. Even if you can't get to one of them we are sure they will be more than happy to put some leaflets in the post to you.
