This year, BAAF launched its exciting new web-based family-finding service, Be My Parent online. This website complements the Be My Parent newspaper and truly modernises the entire service.
Be My Parent online is available here and features the profiles of children who need an adoptive or permanent foster family. The website format provides the unique opportunity to give a fuller picture of each child using more detailed profiles, additional photographs, contributions from the children, and video and audio clips where possible. This style of profile appeals to families who are considering adoption or fostering and helps maximise the opportunity of finding suitable matches.
Families who subscribe to the service can search the online children's profiles and make enquiries about children directly to their social worker. Discounts are offered to existing subscribers to the Be My Parent newspaper who also want to use the online service.
Also on the website is essential information about adoption and fostering, including a quiz, a glossary, inspiring real-life features and answers to frequently asked questions.
